Ceramic Hair Iron

The ceramic hair iron has two flat irons that are pressed together over a section of hair and slid from roots to tips. Today, the best hair irons have tourmaline ceramic heating plates. This ceramic coating protects the hair from mechanical and stress damage.

The best ceramic flat iron can heat up to in 10 – 12 seconds. A great feature of these hair straighteners is the ability to maintain a constant temperature. This constant temperature is a controlled by a digital circuit that adjusts temperature automatically.

When choosing a ceramic hair iron, it is best to get a flat iron with thicker plates. This is because a thicker plate means denser ceramic. Not only will they last longer, they will regulate temperature better.

Generally speaking, cheap hair irons usually do not have a ceramic heating plate. If they do, it is a ceramic spray paint that will wear off very quickly and cause much damage to the hair.

All premium ceramic hair irons produce far infrared heat and negative ions. Far infrared heat heats the hair from the inside to seal in moisture and natural oils. Negative ions reduce static and keeps hair from looking frizzy.

Ceramic hair irons should only be used on dry hair. If not, severe hair damage can occur. Special wet to dry ceramic hair straighteners have vents to allow stem to exit. These can be used on towel damp hair and really speed up styling time.

The ceramic hair iron is now a technologically advanced hair appliance that can transform your hair from curly to straight in a matter of minutes. The best advice is to do your research on the internet before purchasing. This will get you the most features and best price from a high quality ceramic hair straightener.

Glue Hair Extensions

Keratin Hair Extensions a.k.a. Glue Hair Extensions

Glue hair extensions are known within the beauty industry as keratin tipped hair extensions. The type of hair extensions are a great way to create more hair volume and extend the length of your hair. These hair extensions are applied by placing the keratin tip against the hair close to the scalp. The hair stylist then uses a special iron to heat the keratin to its melting point. After the keratin cools, the hair extension strand is safely attached.

Glue hair extensions come in a few different tip styles. The most common are I-tip, U-tip, and V-tip strand extensions. Common lengths are 14, 16, and 18 inch strands. Manufacturers divide the fullness of the strands into .5, .75, and 1.0 gram strands. By combining different length strands with different weight strands, a hair stylist has full control over the style that the customer desires.

Hair straightener time-travel?

Hair iron straighteners are safer and nicer to your hair than your grandma’s ancient method of removing kinks from her hair. Yup, she may have used a traditional iron – the type used on clothing. Strange but true! Though this was quite effective, it surely damaged hair horribly.

The hair iron straighteners we have at our disposal today are less harsh but give better results. Ceramic heating plates, ergonomic handles and automatic shut-off features all add value to this tool. Gone are the days of leaning over an ironing board and not being able to watch the progress in a mirror.

I can only imagine what a time-consuming process old granny’s hair straightening techniques were. Poor grams! If only we could teleport current-day hair styling equipment into the past. Maybe when time-travel becomes common, everyone will be spared of the laundry-room hair salon!
